The Salzhof combines with the Paulinenquelle spring and the Salzsieder monument a long tradition. Today, the historic square is also a venue for events worth experiencing, including the well-known Christmas market "Bad Salzufler Weihnachtstraum", the wine festival in summer and the weekly market.
The salt works monument was erected on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the town in 1988, donated by the Bad Salzuflen public utility company. The monument commemorates the salt works, which stood on the Salzhof until 1926.
The Paulinenquelle was for a long time the only tapped brine or healing spring in the town and the oldest used brine spring in the town. Initially, bathing took place in the pump tower (1818-1855) until a fire destroyed the pump tower. Bathhouse I was then built on the site of today's post office. The Sophienbrunnen was dispensed at the graduation works from 1896, mixed with fresh water
The oldest mention of the "locum salis in uflon" named the spring on the Salzhof indirectly through the salt works and documents the more than 1000 years of use of the spring. After the first baths were dispensed at the Salzhof,
the spring also supplied the bathing rooms with the therapeutically used brine water.
The weekly market takes place weekly on Tuesday and Saturday with a wide range of fresh produce from the region.
