An asphalt pump track increases the play and leisure opportunities in Herzebrock-Clarholz. The facility is interesting for children and young people of different ages and offers a variety of rolling play options, e.g. for smaller children with a balance bike, for BMX riders and for inline skaters and wheelchair users.
There are various seating options at the edge of the area so that parents, for example, can also spend time in this area.
Towards the west, there is an "asphalt loop" for advanced riders or older children and teenagers. The northern and southern bends are slightly higher and therefore offer momentum for the long stretches with various hills. In the bends there are leaning rails for spectators to stand/sit on. There are also litter garbage cans and lighting for the pump track facility.
The ground-level areas of the pump track facility can also be used for events and the hilly areas can be cordoned off for events, e.g. with a construction fence. To ensure that this works and that events such as the "Affentennis-Cup" remain possible, the pump track facility is located on the south-western edge of the open space.
