This entertaining and scenic hiking tour leads past the Booser Doppelmaar and, after circling the Schneeberg, reaches the tranquil Eifel village of Boos. Along the way, there are wonderful views of the Vulkaneifel and the Nürburg.
The dream trail "Eifelturmpfad Boos" leads through the volcanic landscape of the Eifel. The hiking tour starts at the parking lot of the "Booser Doppelmaar Volcano Park Station" and is best explored in a clockwise direction. First, follow the blue and white logo of the Traumpfad access trail through quiet forest paths.
A gentle descent leads to the "Schemel" parking lot with a first rest stop. From here, the view of the western Booser Maar opens up, its water glistening in the sun. The view sweeps across the horizon to Nürburg Castle. After a short section of forest, you can see the eastern Booser Maar, the bottom of which is covered in meadows and woodland.
At a rest area with a volcanic outcrop, a lava bomb amazes hikers. After a short ascent, the wide path is reached again and shortly afterwards the blocked Eifel tower remains unnoticed on the left. The route runs through open terrain, allowing a great view over to Nürburg Castle. At Boosblick, two benches offer the opportunity to enjoy the view in peace and quiet
After a final, short forest passage and around four eventful kilometers, you return to the starting point at the hiking parking lot.
