Culture trail

There are several parking facilities in Telgte in the immediate vicinity of the town centre. Popular car parks are Knickenbergplatz, Emstor and Antoniusstraße. From there, the old town centre can be reached on foot in around 5 to 10 minutes, making it easy to explore the sights.

The cultural trail in Telgte is easy to recognise: Every few metres, red painted cobblestones point the way through the old town. At the places of interest, the stones are also marked with the symbol of the cultural trail, a stylised tree, which points out the places of interest.

Information for cyclists

If you are travelling by bike in Telgte, you can easily continue your tour after visiting the cultural trail at junctions 4 or 42. Telgte is located on several popular themed routes: The Ems Cycle Route runs along the Ems from its source to its mouth in the North Sea. The Peace Route connects historical sites of the Peace of Westphalia between Münster and Osnabrück and the European Cycle Route R1 runs for over 900 kilometres across Europe and also through Telgte.
