Information for cyclists
Münster is not called the "cycling capital" for nothing. Locals and guests alike enthusiastically conquer the city, which is well worth seeing, by bike. The LWL Museum of Natural History in Münster can be reached via the cycle route network. With the adjacent Aasee lake and the various recreational opportunities nearby, the Natural History Museum is perfect for a stopover or as a destination on a cycling tour through Münsterland.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special content of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. A themed cycle route also runs close to the LWL Museum.
Historic town centres
The entrance to the Münsterland cycle path network, which is around 4,500 kilometres long, is behind the museum at the Aasee and offers numerous opportunities for great cycle tours in the region. Everyone will find a suitable cycle route here.
Info: There are covered parking spaces for bicycles between the museum and the zoo. Free e-bike charging stations are available for e-bikes. Perfect for a break!

Admission to the Natural History Museum

** Holders of the NRW Volunteer Card receive a 50% discount on a single admission ticket for the exhibitions in the museum on presentation of the card at the box office. This also applies to admission to the planetarium.
EXCEPTIONS: The discount does NOT apply to events/special events. Also EXCLUDED are all evening events (seat bookings) for the Planetarium and the online booking system offer.
Discount holders do not receive a further discount on presentation of the card.

Parking
There is a large paid car park for visitors at the LWL-Museum für Naturkunde.
Arrival
Arriving by car:
Via the A1, A43, B51 or B54.
From the Münster city limits, signs point the way to the Natural History Museum and the Allwetterzoo.
Arriving by bus and train:
Münster main railway station
City bus line 14 to Zoo/LWL Natural History Museum.
The LWL Museum of Natural History with planetarium is right next door.
Line 14 runs every 20 minutes.
It is also possible to get off at "Klemensstraße" or "Domplatz".
