Natursteig Sieg | Etappe 14 | Kirchen (Sieg)–Mudersbach

The path from Kirchen to Mudersbach begins with a 2 km long access path. The path around and through the village of Katzenbach, to Freusburg and through the Giebelwald has its own special charms. A forest regeneration area offers surprising views. The Mariengrotte above Mudersbach is the last mosaic. Before that, you can marvel at the 200 m long Erzquell tunnel, enjoy the long forest passage from Freusburg to the soldiers' grave and pass a secluded shelter. The climb from the Siegtal and the small hamlet of Freusburger Mühle is steep. Its namesake is 500 m earlier and is now used as a run-of-river power station for generating electricity.
